Sustainability Indicators
Unofficial and independent local suburban neighbourhood web directory or portal for some new local community sustainability indicators in Sunnybank, Brisbane, Queensland, Australia. Indicators are generally things that can be seen, counted or measured. The same indicator can be tracked over years. Communities can suggest, try, test, develop and use indicators to develop, keep, maintain and sustain their local neighbourhood.

Community sustainability indicators may be developed at many levels and by a range of organisations. For example, a company may develop a sustainability indicator based on current and future clients. For a community, maintaining that company as a viable, successful business, may be a community sustainability indicator. Other types of community sustainability indicators would include whether the community was affected by war, poverty, disease and reduction in essential services. These are considered beyond the scope of this unofficial local suburban neighbourhood web directory.

The following community sustainability indicators have so far been suggested as some new indicators for the local community to develop and check over time. Please, continue to suggest new indicators that sustain and develop our community and we can all count, measure and check them for ourselves.
